Phong Lan Thao Tran has worked in various roles since 2007. In 2007 and 2008, they were a Trainee at the Museum National d'Phong Lan Thao'stoire Naturelle and the Parc Científic de Barcelona, respectively. From 2008 to 2012, they were a PhD student in Biophysics and Biochemistry at the European Institute of Chemistry and Biology (IECB). In 2011, they were a Trainee at Kyoto University. From 2012 to 2017, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University, where they identified proteins that promote replication fork progression and suppress DNA damage and genome instability at stable protein-DNA complexes. Since 2017, they have been a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Museum national d'Phong Lan Thao'stoire naturelle. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Research Scientist I at Depixus.
Phong Lan Thao Tran received a Master's degree in Pharmacology of aging and Biochemistry from Pierre and Marie Curie University in 2008. Phong Lan Thao then went on to pursue a PhD in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics from Universit\u00e9 de Bordeaux in 2011.
