Pete Cruz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Pete began their career in the US Navy as a Nuclear Electrician on submarines from 1993 to 1997. Following this, they worked as a Nuclear Engineer and later as a Nuclear Training Manager in the US Navy from 2001 to 2008. In 2008, they transitioned to the US Army and held various roles such as Operations Manager and Senior Project Manager until 2022. During their time in the Army, they served in positions such as Deputy Chief of Police, Deputy Brigade Commander, and Deputy Director of Emergency Services. In 2022, Pete joined Deployed Resources, LLC as a Project Manager and later became the Director of Strategic Program Implementation.

Pete Cruz's education history starts in 1994 when they attended the Naval Nuclear Prototype for enlisted personnel. Pete then went on to attend the Nuclear Power School at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC). In 1997, they attended the University of Oklahoma and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminology.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Pete joined the Navy Intelligence School in 2003. In 2002, they attended the Naval Nuclear Prototype for officers, followed by the Nuclear Power School at the NNPTC in 2001.

From 2005 to 2006, Pete attended the Naval Prospective Nuclear Engineer Officer Course. In 2007, they completed the Military Police Captain's Career Course.

In 2013, Pete attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. Pete also obtained certifications such as the Advanced Incident Command System - Complex Incidents from FEMA and Non-Lethal Weapons Instructor from the United States Marine Corps in 2013 and 2008, respectively.

Lastly, Pete pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Business Organization and Security Management at Webster University from 2015 to 2022.
