Chas Chalmers has extensive work experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Chas is currently serving as the Senior Director International Growth Business Development at Mercury Systems, where they focus on making trusted and secure mission-critical technologies more accessible. Prior to this, Chas held sales and strategic advisory positions at DXC Technology and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they were responsible for new business development and contract management. Chas also worked at Raytheon UK and General Dynamics UK Limited in various engineering and managerial roles. Chas began their career in the Royal Air Force, where they held leadership positions and was involved in tactical data link support and aircraft electronic warfare systems. Chas also served as a UK Exchange Officer at the US National Air & Space Intelligence Centre and worked as a C4ISR Analyst at the Defence Intelligence Staff.
Chas Chalmers earned an MBA in Business and Defence from Cranfield School of Management in the year 2008. Chas completed their Engineering Officer Training at Royal Air Force College Cranwell from 1989 to 2003. Chalmers obtained an MSc in Military Electronic Systems Engineering from Cranfield University and a Master of Science (MS) in Electronic Systems Engineering from RMCS Shrivenham in 1999-2000. Chas also partially completed the Aerospace Integrated Graduate Development Scheme (IGDS) at the University of Bristol from 1997 to 1998. Chalmers earned an HNC in Electronic Systems from the Royal Naval Engineering College in 1989-1990 and an OND in Avionic Systems from RAF Cosford in 1982-1984. Additionally, Chalmers obtained the title of Chartered Engineer from the Engineering Council in 2009.
