Rachel Lafferty

Rachel Lafferty is an experienced educator with a focus on special education, currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Deptford Township School District since September 2022. Prior roles include Student Support Advisor at DeVry University and a Self-Contained Special Education Teacher at Voorhees Township School District. Lafferty has also worked at Lawrence Public Schools as a 4th Grade Inclusion Classroom Teacher and 3rd Grade Special Education Teacher, and at Boston Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher. Early career experiences include roles as a Google Teaching Fellow at Citizen Schools, an After School Counselor at PE&T Charter High School, and a Social Work Intern at First Step Domestic Violence Shelter. Lafferty holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Merrimack College and a Bachelor of Social Work from James Madison University.
