Nicola Stanney

Nicola Stanney is an experienced professional currently serving as the Move More Coordinator for Derby City Council, focusing on community engagement and promoting physical activity across specific localities in Derby. Previously, Nicola operated as a Sole Trader at Mindful Jeweller and Nicola Ward Jewellery, creating handcrafted jewellery and promoting quality craftsmanship. Nicola has also contributed significantly as an Independent Community Advocate for Derbyshire Mind, enabling clients to navigate legal processes, and as a Community Development Worker, delivering various wellbeing courses. Additional experience includes teaching silversmith courses at Derby Adult Learning Service, providing student advice for the University of Derby Students' Union, and working in information roles at Disability Direct and as a Research & Design Intern at thinkpublic.
