Leigh Richards

Leigh Richards is an experienced professional in forensic investigation and crime scene management, currently serving as the CSI Operations Manager at Derbyshire Constabulary since November 2022, overseeing Crime Scene Investigators and coordinating crime scenes across multiple jurisdictions. Previously, Leigh held the same title at Nottinghamshire Police from September 2018 to November 2022. Leigh's extensive career at Derbyshire Constabulary began in 1995 as a Crime Scene Investigator, with subsequent roles including Acting CSI Manager, which involved leadership, crime scene management, and evidence preparation for court. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation from the University of Bradford and a Postgraduate Certificate in UK Disaster Victim Identification from the University of Dundee.
