Helen Minion (MCIPD)

Helen Minion (MCIPD) is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in strategic human resources management. Currently serving as the Strategic HR Partner at Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service since January 2004, Helen provides specialist advice to the Strategic Leadership Team, leads key organisational projects, and manages a diverse HR team of 17 professionals. Previous roles include Head of HR Services, where Helen implemented HR strategies and successfully navigated complex organisational restructures, and Senior HR Adviser, where contributions included the establishment of regional Assessment Development Centres and a new learning and development facility. Prior experience encompasses roles at Medirest Healthcare and Carillion Services Ltd, focusing on HR service management, performance management, and facilities management. Helen holds a CIPD Professional Qualification in HR from the University of Derby and a Diploma of Higher Education from Lancaster University.
