Mark Hanwell

Mark Hanwell has over 40 years of experience in safety, training, and chemical operations. Currently serving as TSSU manager at Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service since March 2012, Mark previously held the position of TSSU Supervisor at the same organization from 2006 to 2012. Prior to that, Mark worked as a Respiratory Protection Consultant at Hanwell Safety Training from 2004 to 2006, providing specialized training in BA, fire extinguisher, confined spaces, and LOLER inspection. Mark's foundational experience includes roles as a chemical plant operator, supervisor, chemist, and safety technician at Staveley Chemicals from 1982 to 2004, as well as being a motor vehicle technician with a focus on Jaguar and Daimler from 1977 to 1982. Mark's educational background includes studies at Granville College and other institutions such as Fire Service College Moreton and Oldham College.
