Charles Ward has over 20 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, and geology. In 1997, they began their career as a Geologist for Shell Oil Company. In 2000, they moved to ARC Science Simulations as a Technical Sales & Marketing Executive. In 2001, they joined Kendall Hunt Publishing Company as an Acquisitions Editor. From 2005 to 2016, they worked at Pearson in various roles, including Sr. Vice President, Asst. Vice President/Sr. Managing Editor, and Media Editor. In 2016, they became the Head of Higher Education at Carnegie Learning. In 2019, they were appointed Senior Vice President at CommercialTribe, and in 2020 they were appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Derivita.

From 1990 to 1994, they attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where they earned a BS in Geology.
