Jamie Sullivan

VP, Business Development, Eastern US at Derq

Jamie Sullivan is the Vice President of Business Development at Derq, a startup that is teaching the world about how artificial intelligence and machine learning can identify and prevent pedestrian (bicycle, animal, handicap and more) and vehicle collisions at intersections. Derq's analytics can identify near misses and deploy active or passive accident avoidance solutions either in the vehicle or infrastructure or both. Derq is deployed on 3 continents and soon to be more, and can work in both the 5G and DSRC environments.

Prior to their current role, Jamie was the VP Sales, Industrial IoT for The Americas at Trilliant, a global company focused on the utility industry and metering technology with deployments in hard to reach places around the world. Jamie learned to develop international relationships from a partner perspective with like minded organizations in the Americas. As well, they discovered the ability to develop finance solutions with internal partners for potential customers who otherwise would not be able to do business with large corporations. Jamie worked on their negotiating skills and discovered more about the process of developing a startup in a smaller organization than in previous roles. Jamie was afforded the opportunity to try and bring new skills to a mature organization looking to branch out into new markets and be in on the ground floor for developing a solution set and an ecosystem.

Jamie Sullivan has a Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University in Consumer Economics, which they obtained in 1995. Jamie also has a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, which they obtained in 2004. In addition, they have a certificate from Motorola University in Digital Six Sigma Green Belt, which they earned in 2006. Jamie also has training in Public Speaking and Presentation Building.
