Becky Lang, EdD, RDH, MCHES, serves as a Consultant, Trainer, and Facilitator at the Centre of Collaboration, Motivation and Innovation since 2016, focusing on person-centered conversations and motivational interviewing. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Des Moines University since 2012, Becky teaches motivational interviewing and behavior change strategies to medical students. As the Founder and Principal of LifeStrategies, established in 1985, Becky develops training and continuing education programs for health practitioners on health promotion and behavior change. Previous academic roles include a Professor in Health Promotion at Grand View University and various instructional positions at Iowa State University, Des Moines University, and the University of Northern Iowa, where responsibilities encompassed course development, teaching, and preparing students for national certification. Becky’s educational background includes a Doctor of Education in Adult Education/Training and Development from Drake University and a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from the University of Iowa, with further study at Luther College and the University of Northern Iowa.
