Carolyn Weaver

Carolyn Weaver, M.B.A., joined Des Moines University as chief information officer in 2012. She provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust and secure information technology environment throughout the University and DMU Clinic, including governance and policy, resource allocation and information technology protocols. Her department provides support for educational technology, delivery of IT infrastructure and telecommunication services, information security systems and compliance, administrative systems and customer support services.

Prior to joining DMU, Ms. Weaver spent more than 25 years in information technology roles in higher education, medical education and corporate environments. Most recently, she served as the director of information solutions for the Morehouse School of Medicine.

Ms. Weaver holds a bachelor of arts degree in physics from Kenyon College and an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa.
