Dmitri Eidenzon

Director, Software Development at Descartes Systems Group

Dmitri Eidenzon has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dmitri started their career as an IT Consultant at INC Development Inc in 1994 and later worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Waterloo. Dmitri then held the role of Software Engineer and Project Leader at Waterloo Hydrogeologic Inc. In 1999, they became a Manager and Senior Software Engineer at APOLLO Photonics Inc. Dmitri served as a Software Development Manager at PHILIPS Analytical Waterloo, where they were responsible for defining company strategy and managing the software development department. Dmitri also worked as a Software Development Consultant, focusing on Lotus Notes development and software development processes. Dmitri later joined RDM Corporation as a Software Development Manager, Business Analyst, and Architect. Dmitri managed the software development team and played various roles in project management, software design, and prototyping. Dmitri represented RDM Corporation at ANSI X9 meetings and holds six patents. In 2006, they became a member of the ANSI X9AB Payments Subcommittee at www.X9.org, where they contributed to the development of payment system standards. In 2013, they joined SOTI Inc. as a Software Development Manager. Dmitri was responsible for managing the software development team. Finally, Dmitri joined Descartes Systems Group in 2015, where they first served as the Manager of Software Development, GLN R&D, and then as the Director of Software Development.

Dmitri Eidenzon holds a PhD in Computer Science from Tomsk Polytechnic University, which they obtained from 1988 to 1991. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Computer Science at the same university from 1979 to 1984. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster® from Scrum Alliance in 2017 and Canadian Management Professional from the Institute Of Professional Management- IPM in 2005.
