John Pinkerton

John Pinkerton has over 20 years of experience in the software engineering field. John served as a Director of Software Development at Descartes Systems Group since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Groups360 as a Director of Software Engineering and Software Engineering Manager from 2019 to 2022. Before joining Groups360, they held the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager and Sr. Software Architect at Jack Henry & Associates from 2002 to 2019. John also worked as a Technical Lead at iXL Enterprises Inc. from 2000 to 2002.

John Pinkerton attended Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science. In addition to their degree, John also holds certifications including Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance, Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) from Microsoft, and Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java 2EE (SCEA) from Sun Microsystems.
