Tanguy Touffut

Tanguy Touffut is the Co-Founder and CEO of Descartes Underwriting. Tanguy has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and specializes in parametric insurance and weather risk management. Prior to Descartes, Tanguy was the Global Head of Parametric Insurance and Head of Food Security & Agriculture at AXA Corporate Solutions. Tanguy was also the CEO and founder of AXA Global Parametrics, a subsidiary of the AXA Group. Tanguy is a board member of the Weather Risk Management Association (WRMA) and has been involved in the insurance industry for over 15 years.

Tanguy Touffut has a degree from HEC Paris in Finance and Economics and another degree in Economics from Tsinghua University. Tanguy also has a CEMS MIM from the University of St.Gallen. Tanguy attended Lycée du Parc for their secondary education.
