Megan Weaver

Megan Weaver is a dedicated behavioral health specialist with extensive experience in crisis intervention and community advocacy. Currently serving as a Behavioral Health Specialist II at Deschutes County since November 2021, Megan previously held the same title at the Deschutes County Crisis Stabilization Center. Experience includes working as a Medical Social Work Intern at Care Partners Hospice, where comprehensive bereavement assessments and grief support were provided. As a Community Advocate at Safety Compass, Megan focused on supporting human trafficking survivors, collaborating with law enforcement and community partners. Earlier roles include Outpatient Addictions Counselor at CODA, Inc., where substance abuse services were delivered, and a Child & Family Services 1st Contact Worker at NARA, engaging families in trauma-informed practices. An academic background includes a Master of Social Work (MSW) from George Fox University and an Associate's degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling from Portland Community College.
