Sara Q. Thompson

Sara Q. Thompson is an accomplished library services professional with extensive experience in various roles across educational institutions. Currently serving as Library Services Manager at Deschutes Public Library since July 2017, Sara leads a talented team focused on community engagement through innovative outreach and programming. Prior roles include Librarian at Oregon State University-Cascades, where Sara guided library services through significant transitions, and Director of Educational Technology at Briar Cliff University, where Sara implemented a large-scale iPad deployment. Earlier career highlights include roles at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Sara coordinated international library programs, and coordination of extended campus services at Oregon State University. Sara holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in History and German from Eastern Oregon University.
