Lori Vallelunga, Ph.D. has diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Lori currently works as the Clinical Director at Deschutes Wilderness Therapy, where they provide individualized wilderness therapy programs for struggling youth. Before this, they worked as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Baptist Behavioral Health. Lori also had a private practice as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, where they guided individuals on a journey of self-discovery. In addition, Lori has served as the Executive Director at PACE Center for Girls and as the President and CEO of Bethel New Life, focusing on community transformation and reducing poverty. Lori has also held significant positions in The Hope Institute for Children and Families, including Senior Vice President of Strategic Development and Center Director for The Autism Program of Illinois. Earlier in their career, they served as the Director at St. James Hospital, where they provided faith-based integrated healthcare services.
Lori Vallelunga, Ph.D. completed their education in a chronological order. Lori earned a B.A. in Psychology from Rhodes College in 1989. Following that, they pursued their Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The University of Memphis, which they obtained in 1994. As part of their education, Vallelunga also completed a Pre-Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at Harvard Medical School from 1993 to 1994. In terms of certifications, they obtained the title of Psychologist from the Florida Department of Health in 2017 and became a Clinical Psychologist certified by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in 1995.
