Junaid Anwer Qureshi

Junaid Anwer Qureshi is a civil engineer specializing in tunnel construction, currently employed as an Engineer Civil (Tunnels) at Descon since September 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Site Engineer and Tunnel Engineer at CGGC International from November 2019 to August 2022, and QA/QC Inspector at the same company earlier in 2019. Junaid also worked as a Tunnel Construction Engineer for SAMBU Construction Co. Ltd from February 2018 to February 2019, overseeing tunnel works, and as a Junior Geologist at National Development Consultants from January 2017 to January 2018. Early career experiences include a Trainee Geologist position at WAPDA, where supervision of grouting processes in concrete-lined tunnels was a key responsibility, and a Safety Man role for CGGC - UN POWER Co. Ltd during the Neelum Jhelum hydropower project. Junaid holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geology with a focus on Engineering Geology from the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, completed in 2016.
