Whitney Steele has significant experience in marketing and growth roles. Whitney is currently working as the VP of Marketing at Descript since April 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at OpenSea from November 2021 to April 2023.

Whitney also worked as a Summer Research Analyst at The Compass Group in 2009, conducting research on equity investments and presenting recommendations.

Early in their career, Steele interned at Sub Pop Records as a Marketing and PR intern in 2008. Whitney assisted in writing artist pitches, creating press kits, and coordinating events.
