Steve Fidel

Steve Fidel has extensive work experience in the media industry. Steve most recently worked at Deseret Digital Media as the News Vice President and General Manager of KSL.com News. In these roles, they oversaw strategic, content, and business operations for the news side of the company's website and apps. Prior to that, they were the Director of The Universe at Brigham Young University, where they managed editorial policy and set the strategic direction for the student news lab. Steve also worked as a reporter for KSL-TV, Deseret News, and The Associated Press, and as a contributing photographer for The Salt Lake Tribune. Additionally, they served on the board and was chairman of the Deseret News Employee Credit Union. Steve has also worked as a faculty instructor at Brigham Young University, teaching journalism courses.

Steve Fidel attended Highland High School from 1974 to 1977, but did not earn any degree or pursue a specific field of study at that time. Steve then attended Brigham Young University from 1977 to 1984, where they obtained a degree in Communications with a focus on Journalism and photojournalism.
