Jose Chacon

Jose Chacon has over 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance. Jose began their career in 2008 as a Quality Assurance at avVenta Worldwide, where they tested web sites and applications and had experience as a creative and tech QA. In 2013, they joined Information Technology Support as a Senior QA Analyst, where they created, executed and maintained test cases using TFS and Jira, identified, recorded and tracked bugs, and tested in web and mobile applications (HTML5). Additionally, they were responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of the testing environments. In the same year, they joined Desert Development Company as a QA Analyst, where their main job tasks and responsibilities included creating checklists and testing in web and mobile applications (HTML5).

Jose Chacon has a comprehensive educational background. Jose obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Costa Rica UCR in 2007. Jose then pursued a Master's degree in Information Technology Management with a focus on TIC Services and Products from the National University from 2014 to 2017. Most recently, they completed a Técnico en Entrenamiento Deportivo - Nivel Avanzado from the National University in 2020. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including ISTQB Certified Tester, Gambling Industry Tester (2023), ISTQB Certified - extension, Agile tester (2018), Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate (SFPC) (2018), Scrum Master Professional Certificate (SMPC) (2018), and ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (2017).
