Kendra S. is a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with extensive experience in adaptive recreation and recreational therapy. Currently at Desert Recreation District since May 2019, Kendra coordinates adaptive programs and trains instructors while fostering relationships with participants and community organizations. Prior roles include Recreational Therapist at Meaningful Day Services, where Kendra developed customized therapeutic goals, and several positions as an Afloat Recreation Specialist with the USNS Mercy and USS Ronald Reagan, providing recreation and fitness opportunities for service members. Kendra holds a Master’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Temple University and a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies from SUNY Brockport.
