Joon-Mo Ok

Joon-Mo Ok has extensive experience in finance and operations roles. Joon-Mo started their career at Homestead Websites, where they managed Ecommerce and Fraud Operations, focusing on customer relations management, payment processing, chargeback management, fraud analysis, and PCI compliance. Joon-Mo successfully implemented an anti-fraud screening system and decreased the chargeback rate.

Joon-Mo then joined Intuit as a Billing and Legal Compliance Specialist, responsible for card-not-present web payment processing, post-merger integration, fraud prevention, content abuse prevention, and customer service escalation.

After that, Joon-Mo worked at Samasource as a Senior Associate, where they implemented a microwork training platform, coordinated and produced promotional documentaries, and conducted candidate screening.

Joon-Mo also worked as an analyst at Rafter, Inc., specializing in an undisclosed area.

Joon-Mo pursued their MBA at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business from 2009 to 2011.

Later, they joined Akorbi as a Finance Operations Analyst, focusing on dispute mitigation, compliance, process analysis and improvement, operations, revenue management, and chargebacks. Joon-Mo successfully resolved dispute claims and designed best practices for claims resolution.

Joon-Mo then worked at Arvato Financial Solutions as a Project Manager, managing finance operations, process improvement and documentation, regulatory compliance, dispute mitigation, audit, BPO, and training projects for Google. Joon-Mo delivered projects according to high standards and managed a business process transition initiative.

Currently, Joon-Mo holds the position of Director - Transaction Risk and Disputes at Deserve, where they oversee credit operations, transaction operations and risk, underwriting and fraud review, fraud monitoring and mitigation, data analysis, dispute and chargeback operations, payment card network and processing SME, partnership development, and regulatory compliance.

Joon-Mo Ok attended Stanford University, where they earned a BA in Communication. Joon-Mo then pursued further education at Georgetown University, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
