Brett Janis

Brett Janis has a diverse work experience in both academia and entrepreneurship. Brett is currently serving as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DesiCorp Inc. since January 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at DesiCorp Inc. from January 2022 to November 2022. Brett also has experience in academia, working at the University of Louisville. Brett was a PHD student from August 2016 to January 2022, and also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher from July 2017 to November 2018. Additionally, they served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Louisville College of Arts & Sciences from August 2016 to July 2017.

Brett Janis has a strong educational background in the field of Biology. Brett attended Cornell College from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Biology, Molecular Biology/Biochemistry, and Chemistry. Following this, they pursued further education at Eastern Illinois University from 2015 to 2016, working towards a Master's degree in Biology; however, they did not complete the program. Brett Janis then enrolled at the University of Louisville in 2016 and successfully completed their education there in 2021, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology with a specialization in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology.
