Mainak Roy

Mainak Roy is a seasoned education professional and social entrepreneur with extensive experience in driving impactful educational initiatives. As the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Simple Education Foundation since December 2013, Mainak has focused on delivering comprehensive learning solutions to low-income communities. Mainak also serves as Co-founder and Director of Program and Impact at Dalai Lama Fellows and holds fellow positions in multiple organizations, including Teachers For Tomorrow and Wipro Foundation. With a strong background in program management at Teach For India, involvement in curriculum development, and a commitment to child rights as demonstrated through earlier roles at Nine is Mine and Becoming I Foundation, Mainak’s career reflects a dedication to equity in education. Mainak holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from SRM University and has participated in advanced training through the India Leaders for Social Sector's Fundraising Program.
