Frances Macalimbon Hamed is a dedicated policy and community organizing professional currently serving as a Policy & Community Organizing Intern at Woodside On The Move since September 2023. In addition, Frances is a Jeannette K. Watson Fellow with the Watson Foundation, recognized for potential leadership and commitment to public service. Past experiences include roles as a Policy Research Assistant at the Center for an Urban Future, a Policy Fellow in the Office of New York State Assemblymember Steven Raga, and an Eva Kastan Grove Fellow at The Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College. Frances has also contributed to the New York City Council as a Legislative & Budget Intern and has engaged with health challenges in the AAPI community through APAMSA at Hunter College. Educational achievements include pursuing a dual bachelor's degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from Macaulay Honors College and Hunter College, following a high school diploma from Central Park East High School.
