Salwa Sidahmed

Salwa Sidahmed is currently a Thomas J. Watson Fellow at the Watson Foundation as of July 2023. Previously, Salwa served as a French Teaching Assistant at Hamilton College from September 2019 to May 2023, facilitating instruction in French language and culture. Additional experiences include roles as a Laboratory Assistant in the Hamilton Analytical Lab, and multiple positions within the Days-Massolo Center, where Salwa contributed to social media efforts and programming. Salwa also focused on diversity recruitment in the Office of Admissions and engaged with the Utica community through the COOP Service Internship at the Utica Public Library. Volunteer experiences include serving as an Administrative Assistant for the Muslim Women's Organization and as an Organizing Fellow for the Florida Democratic Party. Salwa has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Justice & Sustainability and French and Francophone Studies from Hamilton College, alongside literature studies at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.
