Design Outreach
Amelia Messamore is an experienced professional in the field of journalism and communications, currently serving as Development Coordinator at Design Outreach since January 2017. Prior to this role, Amelia held positions at Cahaba Media Group, including Managing Editor and Associate Editor for Pumps & Systems Magazine from August 2013 to December 2016. Amelia's editorial experience also includes serving as News Editor for Cardinal & Cream at Union University, where academic involvement occurred from August 2011 to May 2013, alongside an internship at Compassion International as a CDSP Shared Learning Intern in mid-2012 and a position as an Edit Intern at Gulfshore Life Magazine in the summer of 2010. Amelia graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and minors in biology and Christian ethics from Union University, attended from 2009 to 2013, and is a graduate of Naples High School, class of 2009.

We're on a mission to alleviate global poverty through life-sustaining technology. Design Outreach (DO) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, on a mission to see marginalized and low-income communities transformed physically, economically, and spiritually. We focus on developing innovative and appropriate technologies that improve the lives of those in poverty and provide better health, education, and employment opportunities. DO is currently operating in 7 African countries and in Haiti.
