Laura Weston

Laura Weston has over 29 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Laura began their career in 1992 as a Research Associate at Molecular Biosystems. In 1995, they became a Laboratory Supervisor and Senior Research Associate at Dura Pharmaceuticals, where they developed and implemented a streamlined method for organizing, tracking, and storing stability data. In 2001, they joined Santarus, Inc. as a Director of Analytical Chemistry and subsequently held roles as a Director of Pharmaceutical Technology and Senior Director of Pharmaceutical Technology. In 2014, they became a Principal Consultant at Lone Pine CMC Consulting, Inc. and in 2015, they were appointed Vice President of Pharmaceutical Technology at Dermata Therapeutics, LLC. Most recently, in 2021, Laura was appointed Senior Director of Analytical Development at Design Therapeutics, where they lead and directs analytical development, stability and release testing activities associated with the formulation and production of product for use in clinical studies.

Laura Weston earned their MBA from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business in 2009, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. Laura received their BS in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis in 1992.
