Nicole Vlado Torres, AIA, NOMA is an accomplished architect and housing advocate with over 20 years of experience in design and management, focusing on public works projects such as multifamily affordable housing and educational facilities in New York City. Currently serving as the Director of Capital Projects Consultant at Public Housing Community Fund and an Adjunct Professor at City Tech, CUNY, Nicole also contributes as a Global Exchange Fellow at Urban Design Forum and a Policy and Planning Fellow at Design Trust for Public Space. As Co-Chair of the Professional Development Committee at nycoba|NOMA and the Housing Committee at AIA New York, Nicole actively promotes leadership in architecture. Nicole owned a recognized women-owned firm, Shakespeare Gordon Vlado Architects, which has designed over 1,000 affordable units. Educational credentials include a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Art and Design, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
