Jianing Gao

Jianing Gao is a Senior Materials Engineering Lab Manager at Desktop Metal since December 2020, with previous experience as a Senior Engineering Manager at Veloxint from January 2019 to October 2020, where Jianing established efficient teams for alloy and process development and implemented digital tools for analytical tasks. Prior roles include Materials Characterization Leader and Lead Scientist at GE Global Research from August 2013 to December 2018, focusing on thermal analysis of various materials and contributing to next-generation airfoil development, as well as a postdoctoral researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in early 2013, working on materials for protein purification. Jianing holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science from Zhejiang University.
