Tony Murphy

Tony Murphy serves as the Chief Information Officer at Desktop Metal since May 2022 and holds a position on the Board of Directors at CPS since May 2023. Additionally, Tony has been an Adjunct Lecturer at Bentley University, teaching Data and Information Management, and is a Limited Partner and Investor at Mendoza Ventures, focusing on early-stage AI, Fintech, and Cybersecurity companies. Tony's prior roles include CIO, CISO, and Partner at Newport LLC, where advisory services were provided to clients navigating growth, and an Advisor at Oort, a leader in Identity Threat Detection and Response technology. Previous positions also include CIO and CISO at Progress, Vice President of Information Technology at Stratus Technologies, and Director of IT and Business Systems at Acme Packet. Tony founded Beantown Consulting and holds multiple degrees, including an MBA from Bentley University and a Bachelor's in Economics and History from Maynooth University, along with additional education from esteemed institutions.
