Pieterjan Goedertier

Pieterjan Goedertier has a strong background in operations, finance, and consulting. Pieterjan is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at DESOTEC since July 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at Sibelco Group, including Vice President Operations Glass Recycling from March 2021 to June 2023, and Head of Business Line Recycling from June 2018 to March 2021. Before joining Sibelco Group, Pieterjan worked at McKinsey & Company, where they served as a Junior Associate from June 2014 to August 2014, and as a Business Analyst from August 2012 to May 2014. Pieterjan also worked at McKinsey & Company as a Summer Business Analyst in July 2011. Additionally, Pieterjan has experience as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and Operational Excellence Manager at Sibelco Group from 2014 to 2016.

Pieterjan Goedertier attended Sint-Lievenscollege Gent from 2001 to 2007, where they obtained a degree in Science with a focus on Mathematics. Pieterjan then enrolled at Ghent University, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from 2007 to 2010. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, with a specialization in Control Engineering and Automation, at the same university from 2010 to 2012. Later on, Goedertier attended Harvard Business School from 2016 to 2018, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
