Erik Johnson

Erik Johnson, M.Ed., currently serves as a Behavior Intervention Teacher and Case Manager at DeSoto Independent School District since August 2022, specializing in behavioral intervention methods for special education students in grades 10-12. Previously, Erik held the position of Reset Coordinator at Dallas Independent School District, where responsibilities included fostering student engagement and modifying behavior. Prior to that role, Erik was a Special Education Teacher at Dallas Independent School District, proficiently developing Individual Education Plans and coordinating ARD meetings. Erik's diverse experience includes roles in operations management, business specialization, recruitment, and military leadership as a Platoon Leader in the US Army. Erik holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Grambling State University, where leadership roles included serving as the Student Representative on the Louisiana State Board of Regents for Higher Education.
