Marsha Walden

Marsha Walden has extensive experience in marketing and strategic leadership roles. Marsha currently serves as President and CEO of Destination Canada since August 2020. Prior to this, they were the President and Chief Executive Officer of Destination British Columbia from November 2013 to August 2020.

Before joining the tourism industry, Marsha Walden worked at BCLC (British Columbia Lottery Corporation) in various positions, including Vice President - Strategy, Transformation and Social Responsibility from May 2012 to October 2013, Vice President, Customer Strategy and Corporate Relations from June 2008 to April 2012, Vice President, Community Gaming from September 2004 to May 2008, and Director, Corporate Marketing & eBusiness from December 2002 to September 2004.

Earlier in their career, they established their own consultancy, Marsha Walden Marketing & Communications Management, where they served as the Principal Consultant from 1997 to 2002. Marsha also gained significant experience at BBDO, where they held positions such as Senior Vice President, Director of Client Services from 1994 to 1997 and Vice President, Client Services from 1980 to 1994.

Marsha Walden obtained their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business/Commerce, General from The University of British Columbia. Marsha attended the university from 1975 to 1980.
