Robert McCreight has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting from 2009, they worked at Roots as a Sales Associate, Stock Room Supervisor, and Health and Safety Representative. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Graduate Assistant at Glendon College, York University, assisting professors with research projects. In 2012, they served as a Project Agent and Junior Planning Agent at Reflet Salvéo, where they conducted independent research and published a report on bilingual Francophones' service preference. In 2013, they worked as a Program Officer at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), managing the peer review process for research funding programs. From 2014 to 2015, they served as a Parliamentary Assistant in the House of Commons of Canada, handling legislative and administrative tasks for an MP. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at Capital Hill Group as a Consultant and Senior Consultant, providing government relations services to clients. Currently, they are the Director of Business Events, Government & Industry Relations at Destination Canada, starting in April 2021.

Robert McCreight obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Political Science from the Glendon Campus of York University | Campus Glendon de l’Université York. Robert then went on to earn a Master's degree in Public and International Affairs from the Glendon School of Public and International Affairs. Robert also received a Certificate of Bilingual Excellence from York University, Glendon College.
