Sharrona B.

Sharrona B. has had a diverse work experience throughout their career. Sharrona started in 1993 as an Office Manager at Carlton & Douglas before moving on to become the Financial/Communications Manager at The Cleveland Play House in 1994. In 1996, they joined the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and steadily advanced to the position of Senior Director of Sales, where they generated revenue through group sales, meeting and event rentals, sales promotions, and special accounts. In 2020, they joined Destination Cleveland as the Senior Director of Convention Sales, responsible for leading a team of sales executives to achieve revenue goals and build customer relationships. Sharrona is currently serving as the Vice President of Sales & Services Operations at Destination Cleveland.

Sharrona B. obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Marketing from Cleveland State University, completing their studies from 1991 to 1997. Sharrona then pursued certifications in the field of group travel market, including becoming a Certified Tour Professional (CTP) at the National Tour Association (NTA) until 2000 and obtaining a Certified Travel Industry Specialist credential from the American Bus Association (ABA) and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis until 2003. In 2012, Sharrona B. further enhanced their knowledge by completing the Ohio Tourism Leadership Academy at the Ohio Travel Association, specializing in the Ohio travel industry. Recently, in July 2023, they received the Meeting Service Certified Mentor Certification from Simpleview, demonstrating their expertise in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) within the Meeting Services field.
