Board Member at Destination Imagination

Chloe Kontos is a board member at Destination Imagination. Chloe was previously the Director of the Office of the CTO at MD Anderson Cancer Center. In this role, they led operations, strategy, budget, and communications for the Chief Technology and Digital Officer (CTDO). Chloe also created comprehensive operating plans and budgets, and managed high-level coordination and critical strategies across innovation, technology, and cybersecurity functions.

Prior to their work at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Chloe was with Destination Imagination for many years. In their most recent role there, they were responsible for identifying, reviewing, and assessing science, technology, clinical, and operations proposals for recommendation to Development. Chloe also scaled the efforts of the $250+ million new Data Science initiative, securing funding from donors and partnering with industry, pharma, and academia on strategic priorities.

Chloe is a proven leader with a track record of success in developing and executing strategies that drive results. Chloe is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and has developed a diversity strategy focused on actionable goals on recruitment, retention, culture, and accountability. Chloe is also an effective communicator, able to brief President’s Advisory Councils (PACs) on technology initiatives such as Cybersecurity and Data Science.

Chloe Kontos has a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Politics from the University of Virginia. Chloe is also certified from the SAS Registry of SAS Certified Professionals in SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 and from the Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional.
