Paul Mergard

Paul Mergard is an experienced leader with a strong focus on child advocacy and humanitarian efforts. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Destiny Rescue since November 2019, Paul oversees initiatives to rescue children from sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Previously, Paul held the position of Executive Manager - Partnerships at Destiny Rescue, where strategic growth was achieved during the COVID pandemic. Other significant roles include Non Executive Director at Churches of Christ in Queensland, Business Development Executive at Ignite Property Solutions, and various managerial positions at Compassion Australia and The Salvation Army. Paul began their career at KPMG, advancing to Senior Business Advisor. Educational qualifications include a Company Director Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Grad Dip in International Development from Flinders University, among other credentials.
