Steve Heim

Steve Heim possesses extensive experience in risk management and aviation security, currently serving as the Director of Risk Management and Director of Professional Accountability at DET Distributing Company since January 2012. In addition, Steve Heim teaches Introduction to Aviation Security and Aviation Security II as an adjunct professor at Middle Tennessee State University since August 2012. Previously held the position of Chief of the Department of Public Safety at the Metro Nashville Airport Authority from May 1994 to January 2012. Earlier military experience includes service in the US Marine Corps, where Steve Heim was trained in heavy weapons and served as a swim instructor. Steve Heim holds an MBA in Business from Columbia Southern University and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Middle Tennessee State University.
