Brendan Ryan

Brendan Ryan is an experienced executive in the mining and finance sectors, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer at Deterra Royalties since September 2020. Prior to this role, Brendan held key positions at Boart Longyear as Chief Business Development Officer and Chief Financial Officer from September 2016 to September 2020, and briefly worked in mining private equity. Brendan's extensive career includes significant roles at Rio Tinto from January 2002 to August 2015, including Global Head of Business Evaluation and Vice President of Projects & Expansion. Brendan began in the industry with various roles at Anglo American and completed internships at several mining companies. Brendan's educational background includes an MBA from the University of Oxford, a B. Eng (Hons) in Mining Engineering from The University of Queensland, and participation in leadership programs at London Business School and Duke University.
