David Zamarin is the founder and CEO of DetraPel, a company that makes a non-toxic, biodegradable spray that protects against stains and degradation caused by bacteria, mold, and UV light. David is also an advisor for FedEx's internal Entrepreneur Advisory Board.
Prior to founding DetraPel, David was a startup finalist at Endless Frontier Labs (EFL), a nine-month program at NYU Stern for early-stage science and technology-based startups. At EFL, David was advised by serial entrepreneurs, investors, and technical mentors to accomplish individualized business goals at eight-week intervals. These goals were designed to maximize each startup’s chance of growing into a high-growth business.
Before their work at EFL, David served as an advisor in residence at Future Founders, a organization that helps underserved young people launch their own businesses. In this role, David provided one-on-one mentorship to aspiring entrepreneurs from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Previously, David was a fellow and regional director at Kairos, a global organization that provides resources and networking opportunities for young entrepreneurs. In this role, David helped connect Kairos members with potential investors and mentors.
Prior to their work in the entrepreneurship space, David was an engineer at Assabet Valley Regional Technical School.
David Zamarin received their Bachelor of Business Administration from Babson College, with a focus in Business Administration and Management. David then attended Harvard Business School, where they took a Resilient Leadership Course. Finally, they studied Polymer Chemistry, Policy & Economics at the University of Pennsylvania.
