George Ferro

George Ferro is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the automotive manufacturing sector. Currently serving as Plant Manager at Daimler Trucks North America since November 2017, George focuses on building top-quality Freightliner Cascadia Trucks. Previously, George held the position of Director of Engine, Transmission, and Axle Assembly at Detroit Diesel, overseeing the daily operations of key manufacturing components and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles. During tenure as Director of Manufacturing at Daimler Trucks North America Saltillo Coahuila, George significantly increased production from 10 to over 175 trucks per day and expanded the workforce from 500 to over 3,000 employees. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at Chrysler, where George managed the assembly process and production for various vehicle components. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree from Thompson Rivers University and an Associate's Degree in Urban Studies from Fanshawe College, complemented by foundational education at Sudbury Secondary School.
