Lydia Lohrer-Bevier

Lydia Lohrer-Bevier is an experienced outdoors writer and CEO with a diverse background in conservation education and freelance writing. Currently serving as the Outdoors Writer for the Detroit Free Press and a freelancer for multiple publications, Lydia has been dedicated to promoting nature and outdoor engagement since October 2012. As the CEO of Outdoor Explorers in the Classroom since March 2006, Lydia develops conservation education programs aimed at urban and at-risk youth. With a history of writing for various outdoor-focused publications and a track record of consulting for initiatives designed to connect youth with nature, Lydia has contributed significantly to environmental awareness and outdoor participation, particularly among underrepresented groups.
