Sally Tato Snell has over two decades of experience in journalism and editing, primarily with the Detroit Free Press since 2000, where roles included Assistant Autos Editor, Assistant Metro Editor, and Assistant Features Editor. In these positions, Sally has contributed to story development, editing, social media strategy, and managing reporting teams on various topics such as autos, local news, and features. Additionally, Sally has served as a Journalism instructor at Oakland University for over 15 years, teaching courses in local news reporting and feature writing. Earlier career experiences include reporting at Lansing State Journal and Observer & Eccentric. Sally holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and English from Oakland University.
