Tony Garcia

Tony Garcia is a seasoned sports journalist with a background that includes current work as a Sports Reporter for the Detroit Free Press since April 2022. Prior to this role, Tony served as a Reporter and Producer at WLNS-TV from January 2021 to April 2022 and worked as a Freelance MLB writer for World Sports Network from July 2020 to January 2021. Additional experience includes freelance writing for Gambling.com Group and contributing to outlets such as MLive Media Group and The Detroit News. Tony has a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a concentration in Sports Reporting from Michigan State University. Notably, Tony has also broadcasted Big Ten games for BTN+ as a color commentator and play-by-play voice.
