Doug Czajkowski

Doug Czajkowski has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Doug has held leadership positions in development and philanthropy, contributing to the fundraising efforts of various organizations.

Starting in 2005, Doug served as the Senior Director of Development and Alumni Affairs at Wayne State University School of Law. Doug then moved on to Wayne State University School of Medicine, where they held the positions of Chief Development Officer from 2006 to 2012, and later Chief External Affairs Officer/Senior Vice President of Business and Strategic Development from 2008 to 2015.

In 2015, Doug became the Senior Vice President and Interim Chief Operating Officer at Wayne State University Physician Group, before joining Wayne State University Foundation as a Senior Fundraising Consultant in 2016. Doug then briefly served as the Interim Chief Development Officer at Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan before taking on the role of Associate Dean for Development at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine from 2017 to 2019.

In 2019, Doug worked as a Senior Consultant at The Remington Group before transitioning to the role of Interim Vice President of Philanthropy at The Autism Alliance of Michigan in 2020. Currently, they are the Vice President of Philanthropy at the Detroit Historical Society, leading development efforts for the organization and coordinating fundraising activities as they prepare for their 100th Anniversary.

Throughout their career, Doug has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, and a focus on building relationships to secure major gifts and support organizational growth.

Doug Czajkowski earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Master of Philanthropy from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. Doug attended this university from 2001 to 2003.
