Detroit Institute of Arts
Jenise Williams is an experienced educator and leader currently serving as the Director at Teach For America Detroit since July 2022. Jenise also holds the position of Founders Junior Council President at the Detroit Institute of Arts, contributing significantly since July 2020, including roles as Co-Chair for the 2023 Fash Bash. As a Fellow in the Michigan Education Policy Fellowship Program for 2023-2024, Jenise is engaged in training focused on education and human services policy-making. Previous roles include Encore Fellow and Detroit Summer Impact Fellow with Teach For America, as well as positions with Detroit Public Schools Community District as an Educator and Campus Ambassador. Jenise has a Master of Arts in Education Leadership and Policy from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the same institution.
