Sade Benjamin

Sade Benjamin is an experienced education professional currently serving as the Education Programs Manager at the Detroit Institute of Arts since August 2019, previously holding the position of Associate Educator. Sade's teaching career began at Detroit Community Schools from August 2010 to June 2015, where instruction focused on Social Studies for grades 6-8 and high school courses in United States History, World History, and Psychology. Additionally, Sade taught AP Psychology and various history subjects at New Paradigm For Education from August 2015 to August 2019, with an emphasis on analytical thinking and social justice in lesson planning. Sade holds a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Michigan (2009-2010) and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Psychology from the same institution (2004-2008).
